WE WILL START SHOOTING CLASSIFIERS AT BOTH RANGES ON AN ODD/EVEN SCHEDULE. BURNSVILLE
CLASSIFIER STAGES WILL BE JAN, MAR, MAY, JULY, SEPT, NOV.
LAKE LURE CLASSIFER STAGES WILL BE FEB, APRIL, JUNE, AUGUST, OCTOBER, DECEMBER.
THIS SCHEDULE WILL START IN JULY!!!!!!

Board Minutes:
Meeting Held at the Mills River Restaurant on July 9 at 6:00 p.m.
In attendance were:
Phil Fack, Penny Gilliam, Tyrone Phillips, John Mitchell, Mark Nash,
Larry Ohl, Terry Sealey, Joe and Annette Potts, Bob Huskey, George Blazier, David Gardner, Jeff Dunlap, Karen O'Kelley, Anthony
Felip.
Issues discussed were:
Trooper Blanton donation. It was agreed that we would donate
our August Lake Lure Match proceeds to the fund for Trooper Blanton. Later determined that September would be a better
month. That would give us more time to promote the idea and a few of our key shooters would be out of town. THE
TROOPER BLANTON DONATION WILL BE FROM THE PROCEEDS OF OUR SEPTEMBER LAKE LURE MATCH. Shoot fees will remian $10.00 for
members, $15.00 for non-members. There will be no free shooters for September. Any extra donations will be greatly
accepted. Word is already out on the Ruger forum.
I will be negotiating with MGM Targets for some new toys later this
week. We will be buying some new steel poppers and such as dictated by our meeting.
We will be adding 2 additional Women On Target Clinics to next years
schedule. These clinics will most likely be in May and October. The additional clinics will be an advanced level
of training and will be held at the Lake Lure range. Curriculum and shooting program is being developed. Those
that are involved with instructing please begin thinking about which clinics you would prefer to work on. I don't want
to burn anyone out so those that are involved decide which you prefer to work on (intro or advanced)
It was requested that I look into setting up another Instructor Certification
Class. I will have answers on that soon. Any one interested shoot me an email so I can get a count.
Recent Events
2008 ANNUAL CLUB DUES ARE NOW DUE AND PAYABLE.
Keep in mind that these fees help to pay our insurance and affiliation dues. Our dues are
still much lower than many of the other clubs in the surrounding aeas.
Dues may be paid at any upcoming match or by mailing your check to Penny Gilliam, 239 Luther Burbank
Drive, Lake Lure, NC 28746. MAKE CHECK PAYABLE TO APSA!!!!
Dues are $40.00 for individuals or $50.00 for families

Cherokee, NC at the Harrah's Casino Hotel. This event Is top notch. Hotel Staff
could not be nicer. Last year we had 417 people in attendance
