We just finished our first clinic of the year.  Wow, it was a full class.  The Article in the Hendersonville Times-News a couple of weeks ago was a terrific boost.  All of the participants seemed to have a great time and as always, the rain held off just long enough.    Visit the club photo page to see a few pictures from todays event.

Our door prize winners were
Delores Boutwell  - Small Canvas Duffle
Chris Parsons - Striped Gun Case from Not Your Daddy's Gun Case
Trula Johnson - Fleece throw with leather carry strap
and the grand prize winner
Laura Rogers - Coronado Concealed Carry Handbag

The Women On Target Program is a For Women Only way to introduce women to the shooting sports and hunting.  Currently the Asheville Practical Shooting Association sponsors three shooting clinics per year.  Our clinics are held at a private range in Asheville.  The APSA clinics feature 8 NRA certified instructors in pistol and home firearm safety as well as three organizers with years of experience in coordinating these events.

At our clinics ladies are given the opportunity to "try-out" a multitude of handguns to see what they like.  They are also given information about the many different types of shooting sports.  There are shooting sports for almost any level of shooting and for any physical ability.

Shooters in general are a fun and helpful group.  Most sport shooters encourage women and children to get involved in shooting.

For more information or to meet an enthusiastic crowd of people with a passion for what they do, come join us at one of our clinics.

Clinics are held three times a year, typically in April, June and September.  Look for dates on the NRA website (Women On Target link) or in your NRA magazine.
Cost is $25.00 per person and includes: gun rentals, ammunition, eye and ear protection, lunch, and one-on-one instructor with a NRA certified instructor.  Pre-registration is a must.  Contact Penny at 828-691-0801 for an application.
