The Women On Target Program is a For Women Only way to introduce women to the shooting sports and hunting. Currently
the Asheville Practical Shooting Association sponsors three shooting clinics per year. Our clinics are held at a private
range in Asheville. The APSA clinics feature 8 NRA certified instructors in pistol and home firearm safety as well as
three organizers with years of experience in coordinating these events.
At our clinics ladies are given the opportunity to "try-out" a multitude of handguns to see what they like. They
are also given information about the many different types of shooting sports. There are shooting sports for almost any
level of shooting and for any physical ability.
Shooters in general are a fun and helpful group. Most sport shooters encourage women and children to get involved
in shooting.
For more information or to meet an enthusiastic crowd of people with a passion for what they do, come join us at one
of our clinics.
Clinics are held three times a year, typically in April, June and September. Look for dates on the NRA website
(Women On Target link) or in your NRA magazine.
