History of Our Club
The Asheville Practical Shooting Association was formed in the early 80's and then incorporated in 1991. We were
the first club in North Carolina to become a USPSA affiliated club. Over the years we have gone through many changes.
Shooting matches have been relocated from the early years of shooting at the FOP range near the airport to shooting in a cow
pasture to shooting in Burnsville. Several years back we moved to a more user friendly range in Burnsville and
most recently a range in Lake Lure. There have been few officer changes over the years. For the last 10 plus years
Phil Flack has been President.
Currently the club is run by a board of directors.

To promote safe shooting sports and our second ammendment right to keep and bear arms.
